Hi Friends of Thrive! What do you think about this verse in today's One Year Bible reading?
I don't know how many times I have prayed, "Lord, please just make me do right and be good"! But this verse tells me God gives me everything I need to live the life I have always wanted to live. It reminds me of the Boy Scout motto, "Always be prepared". No matter what I am going through, no matter how I am feeling at the time, I have exactly what I need to live the life I really want to live - Godly.
Sometimes we may feel like we are completely ill equipped to take on the tasks God has placed before us, but in those times we must trust that our Divine Eagle Scout, God himself who is with us, is totally prepared and has given us exactly what we need.
My Prayer for Today: Lord, although the Bible says I have everything I need to be and do all that you desire of me, I often don't believe it. Help me in my unbelief! Today, I make a decision to believe what you say in the Bible, more than what I think about myself.
